Lauren M | Portrait

If you ask me about a shoot with the idea of 1950-60s, there's a good chance that I'll say yes. Lauren messaged me about this a while back, how she wanted portraits done, considering she had cut her hair based on that aesthetic, and I was all for it! But of course, I had to make it a little more. I wanted to kind of show a story about a woman who enjoyed the limelight, but at the same time, in the late hours of the evening, contemplated if the fame was really worth it. (Sad story, yes, I know.) I don't know if these photos do that idea any justice, but Lauren looked so amazing! I just adore harsh shadow, so I added my own touch to her portraits. I wanted this photos to resemble film stills, as if we are getting peeks into the daily life of a singer. Anyway, enough rambling! Hope you like them!
